I have tried four micro sd cards from 2gb to 32gb and every one says write.protected. I have tried formatting them on the pc. Is there a way of unprotecting something on the keyboard that I cannot find about in the manual, or have I discovered a fault.

Hi,
the cards must not be formatted in exfat or ntfs.
You have to format them ( via PC ) in FAT32, otherwise the PA4X isn´t able to read them.
The re-format the card in the PA4X.
BTW: Some cards do not work in some ( no matter if PC or keyboard ) environments. If you´ve got still no success try another manufacturer... _________________ Greetings from East-Frisia, Germany

There is a Write protect switch on the side of an SD card - check that it's not in the "locked" position.
Cheers

Thanks Folk. I have tried a Kingston, A sandisk and an unknown. I have already formatted to FAT 32 on the PC a quick Format and a Long Format. There are no locks on. I have put a midi on and played it so I know the cards are working. I even downloaded a programme that supposed!!!!! to get rid of Write Protection, but still no joy.
Don't know where to go from here, I just wondered if there was something in Global that I didn't know about. Been using these micro sd cards for years on different computers ect., so they are not knew to me, but the Korg doesn't want to know. |

After much turning on and off, putting in and taking out of sd card both on keyboard and PC I have managed to sort it out.
I went into Mode Preferences, and unticked Media Protect, and it just loaded fine, hope this helps anyone else and saves them nearly a whole day of trying to work out something that turned out to be so simple. Isn't that always the case.
Thanks for trying to help everyone.
