How to mix and match styles from stock styles to create a new style?

Take a drum beat from say an R&B style a guitar from a rock style and a synth from a dance style combine them to form a new style.

Your question is too general.

If you're asking, is it possible to borrow elements from various styles to build a new one? Yes that's possible. All you're doing here is that you're using the 'Copy from' feature in Style Record mode. Something like this:





This function will just copy the source to the target. Whether this works or not musically?...That depends on the nature of each style. If source and target styles are comparable, then most likely you won't have to edit a whole lot. Or it could be that the part would sound out of character amongst other issues. I would do one part at a time.
