|
|
I made a combi timbre, and set 2 kinds of midi channels.
It's 01G and 2.
CH# 01G timbre is played by Keyboard,
CH# 2 timbre is played by Pad trigger.
But my sustain pedal works only for 01G timbre.
How can I activate it also to Midi CH#2 (Or any other channels) timbre ? _________________ Kronos-2 61, Kurzweil PC3A8, DS-1H, EXP-2,

Hi - control messages like sustain, joystick etc. are only sent on the global channel. In your case, the global channel is set to channel 1, hence the G after the channel number 01G.
To send control messages to another channel, you will need to use Karma. To do this, set up one of the Karma modules so that the input channel is 01G (global channel) and the output channel is 02. Untick both the “run” and “thru” Buttons for that module (so that the Karma engine doesn’t run, and notes aren’t sent from channel 1 to channel 2). Finally, switch on Karma with the Karma On/Off Button on the main panel just under the volume knob. Now control messages should be passed from 01G to 02.
If there are control messages you don’t want to pass e.g. joystick, you can disable these for channel 02 in the MIDI filter menu. |

To clarify- in the MIDI filter menu you are dealing with timbres, not MIDI channels. If MIDI channel 2 happens to be on Timbre 2, so be it. Trying to alleviate a little confusion here. _________________ "To me the synthesizer was always a source of new sounds that musicians could use to expand the range of possibilities for making music."
