I purchased Korhpa1000 in March 2018. A few days back I updated to new version 1.2. For 4 days it worked ok. But suddenly now the system freezed. When I switch on, only one sound and style which were active before the last shutdown are working. All other keys/buttons are unresponsive. Iam not able to do factory reset as global, media, menu etc. are not accessible. Can anybody help me please..?

Not sure if this will do anything but it worked on a pc I was having problems with. Unplug everything from the keyboard, cables usb devices etc. so that nothing is connected. Then press and hold the power button for 30 seconds. Leave to stand for at least 2 minutes and then plug the power cable only back in. Press power button to switch on and see what you get. It may not do anything but its worth a try.

On Yamaha arrangers you can hold down the top three keys while powering on to reset. I haven't heard of a similar function on Korg, but it would be nice!

As DonM says. The Yamaha has a reset feature. I have found some for other Korg keyboards but not for the Pa1000. The link that follows is for other older keyboards but it may help to find a remedy.

Restore the system using the backup you created prior to updating the op system

https://www.korg.com/us/support/download/software/0/758/3852/

This link takes you to the download page to download the new system software or a previous version. (1.1) The zip file downloaded has the instructions of how to boot straight into system update by holding the Intro 1 button whilst turning on the keyboard and continue to hold it until the calibration screen appears. From there you can restore your system.
