Hello guys,

after installing the new kronos sound pack I got problems with the combinations of this sound pack. They play the wrong samples.

I installed EXs18 und EXs17 und KRS-07.

If I activate some of the combinations of KRas-07 and played them, they all sound odd, because they play completely wrong samples.

I made sure, to load the PCG and KSC files for Kronos X, not the ones for Kronos.

Please give me advice.

Hello GrandMasterKorg,
Kronos 1 and Kronos X have same programs and combies, and they are in same locations (if you didn't change it from his fabric locations). If you want to use combies or programs made for Kronos 2 you have to change all program positions which they were used in combies, otherwise you would get wrong combies sounds (because wrong programs are load in combi and logically wrong samples). You can change this with free program PCG Tools (made by Michel Keijzers, very good and respectful member of this forum). I never did this but it is not so hard (use help). You can download this program in this page:

Best wishes,

Pedja.

Grandmaster: I also have a KX88 and purchased the same sound package. I think mine loads and plays OK but if you provide a specific example or two, I will try on mine and get back to you.

The above posters are correct- the " new " Sound Pack PCG was designed for original K owners and X owners.

KRS 07 had 32 Combis.

Did you purchase your X 'factory new " ?

Do you recall loading other PCG combi files that re-arranged your bank references ?

I can't be sure but I think the are your 32 KRS 07 Combis:

Above combis are in my D INT combi banks. They are happy there.
