Hi, I recently bought a Korg 01/W FD and knowing that the caps tends to leak I checked them out. And sure enough some of them are leaking. I'm planning on replacing all the caps since it’s only a matter of time before the other ones start to leak as well.

I've already bought some caps, but I thought to double check with you guys if they are suitable for my purpose.

For the main board, I bought the UKZ series caps from Nichicon. (a side note is that the supplier I bought from didn't have any 25v caps at 10uF, so I bought 10x caps that’s rated for a 100v, will this cause any problems?)
For the sound output (where there are 8x bi polar caps) I bought the USE bi-polar series caps from Nichicon

For the PSU I haven't bought anything yet, but I'm planning to buy the caps from Nichicon's UPW series.

Regards, a total amateur Smile

OK, it's good you found them before the electrolyte causes corrosion damage.

Not necessarily, but if you enjoy changing caps... Smile

In general Nichicon caps are decent, as are Panasonic/Matsushita. The higher voltage rating doesn't typically present a problem, as long as their physical size isn't an issue.

The UKZ caps should be fine for audio applications. Since they have low ESR, they should be good for supply decoupling as well.

I presume you meant "UES" series.

Those should be up to the job.

You seem to be doing OK, regardless of your experience. Smile
