The piano sounds on my Kronos sound strange especially when the damper is pressed.
It’s hard to explain but it sounds very buzzy could it be my m audio pedal.

I don’t think it’s your pedal. Unplug the pedal, does it sound okay?

Are you running mono or stereo?

If you are referring to SGX-2 pianos, turn off String Res/Una Corda and the four components for damper and noise things. Some think they sound unnatural. If it solves what you perceive as a problem, then you can enable them again at lower amplitudes.

Having just played last weekend where the monitoring system was mono, I was reminded of how forcing two channel sounds into one channel can drastically alter them... in a bad way. Stereo sounds can sound bad when in mono. Sounds designed to play in mono can be great.

You might try 20-40 range for string resonance and dial in the SR that is best suited for you ear. I personally like some SR but not too much.
