Oh yeah - the Rhythm Wolf: I wanted it quite bad, got it, even used it in a couple of tracks, but still got rid of it for good after about three years of use. The machine had a wonderful "body" for the price, but soundwise it was lacking in almost all directions, bar the kick perhaps. DrumBrute Impact beats that on all accounts. Well, actually even that RW kick wasn't good on one important point: it just didn't get short and snappy by decay and always retained that kind of lazy feel.
But back on topic: nice to have that bitter dood out of the way, thx mods!
Yes, the Modular is definitely an awesome little thing. I just lately discovered how to basically make it generate a kind of harsh, but still noise, as there are no exact options for that. So when connecting the modulator back into the pitch input and cranking the knobs on the osc section, it gets perhaps as noisy as it can, which actually doesn't sound that bad. |
