Is it possible with karma to set up inteligent strings harmony, playable in realtime? When we play different chords to set different notes and articulations on 7th’s or other, without rytmic phrases, just simple harmony with strings. I am new with karma. |

I think you have to clarify 'intelligent '
You play a chord, then Karma responds with some type of melody ?
Back in the days of covered wagons, we use to learn how to play melody over chord changes _________________ Kronos 88. MODX8

Thx for answers. What i consider as inteligent harmony is when i press C major chord that C is a louder than E and G and when i press C7 in that case E is louder than other notes and similar things, not to complicated.
Hi Stephen. So this kind of things i can make with Karma Kronos Software and load it on my kronos? |

Why would that be considered intelligent though? What's the musical application of having the 3rd louder in a 7th chord at all times? _________________ Sam

So right Sam ! That is the question !!!!
It reminds me an annecdote : When young Debussy was at the Conservatory of music, he made mad his teachers who want him always to mudulate and Debussy answered alwayw : Why ? Why change ? I'm happy in this tonality !" Music cannot be jailed. _________________ trees are going fast.

No, sorry - What I was considering intelligent harmony would be:
You play a chord in the LH area, and you play a melody note in the RH area. Based on the analyzed chord in the LH, the RH single note is automatically harmonized with other additional notes based on the LH chord analysis, i.e. 3rd above, 5th above, etc. _________________ Stephen Kay - KARMA Developer • Karma-Lab - karma-lab.com

Yep, this is typically what a harmonizer guitar pedal would do also. You set it to a key, and it will follow your playing at X semitones above or below it, in that key. The benefit KARMA has is that it can pick up the key based on the chord being played, so you get that part for free. _________________ Gear: Korg Kronos 2 73, Arturia Microbrute & MiniBrute 2, Moog Mother-32, Ibanez RG320DXFM Guitar, ESP Viper 254FM Bass, Blackstar HT-1
