Hello all

I’m having difficulty trying to find a soft case to fit my Kronos 2 88. I have been searching for quite a while but all the ones I’ve seen are not big enough.

I’m not looking for a hardcase.

Any ideas ?

Thankyou

Hi.

I'm using this one from Gator for my original K88:
https://gatorcases.com/products/keyboard/pro-go-ultimate-keyboard-gig-bags/pro-go-keyboard/88-note-keybaord-gig-bag-g-pg-88/

It's a tight fit, but it works really well (For me at least)

Regards,

Q

I use the Gator G-PG-88SLIM for my K2-73. Excellent case - much lighter than the hard case I was using, and having the side pocket for my cables /pedal / nanoPad / iPad etc. means I can carry keyboard and stand in one journey. I also love that you get an included rain cover, which has saved the Kronos on at least one occasion doing an outside gig with unexpected rain!

Looks like the Gator G-PG_88_SLIMXL should fit the K2 88 nicely with about 2 inches to spare on the length. With mine, there are about 4 inches spare, which I filled with a spare piece of foam.

The only thing you need to watch with the Kronos and the Gator PG case is where the Velcro straps go. On the K2 73, you have to be careful not to put the strap over the vector joystick! With the K2 88, the vector joystick isn't as close to the end, so it should be OK.

In the side pocket, there is a sleeve for music books, which goes over roughly where the screen is on Kronos. I cut a piece of 6mm plywood to size and fitted it in this pocket to protect the Kronos screen from impacts.

is this case ok for long run use? as in transporting long distances on wheels?

I've considered the Gator poly case with the TSA locks for better protection, but weight does kind of creep in, it's for the LS88

My rule is this: if you are the only one handling your gear, then you can get away with lightweight or less-than-ideal protection because you will be careful. If others will be handling your gear, get the best protection you can afford (definitely hard-sided or reinforced sides).
