Kronos allows keys to control changes if you are in Karma or sequencer mode using Pattern RPPR.
Karma control changes by key is something that requires set up and a decent amount of Karma know-how.

Pattern RPPR in sequencer mode works diferently and you forfeit the botton octave of keys when RPPR mode is active. But what keys remain active, can record to track all and any midi data you need. Then have a key assigned to play that track for whatever the midi content is.

Sorry for not bringing step by step details, but i think a step in the right direction is worth the time. More comments with more details will come.
