This is likely a stupid question, but I have not been able to find the reason that some parameter values are displayed in red color on the Kronos' screens. I've looked in the manual, forum, and generally online.

Where in particular are the values that are shown in red?

Red is used in the HD-1 engine to denote the type of multisample being used for an "oscillator" or sound source. In this case, red signifies that the multisamples being used are from ROM, EXs,or user Sample Bank, whilst Green are Sampling Mode Multisamples, Blue represents a Wavesequence, Orange is for drum kits. In AL-1 Programs, oscillator, noise, and ring modulator levels are shown in red, whilst balance is blue (green in the text but blue in the screenshots in the Parameter Guide). Red coloured text is also used as a warning e.g. if input audio level is too high and clipping.

I saw red one time, I think I was in comi mode. I found out the items in red represents certain items that were not loading properly on start up. Check your auto load items. You might be missing some programs.

As far as the SGX-1/SGX-2 engines are concerned, the red text for the various setup parameters and for the components, like Damper Resonance and Damper Noise, has no particular significance. It's just how the Kronos software developers coded it.

Red just means that parameter is assigned to a Tone Adjust control.

That's it! Thanks, Charles! (as well as to the others for their feedback)

Thanks, indeed, for enlightening my ignorance.

Having trawled through the Quick Start Guide, Operations Guide, Parameter Guide, Kronos' built in help system, the link to parameter value colour and Tone Adjust doesn't seem to be mentioned, even once.
