I used to have a Triton Studio and it seemed like in most settings the after touch vibrato was always on. How do I set it that way in the Kronos?
On the Triton there was a switch to move the octave up or down. How is it done in the Kronos?
So much to learn, so little time.
Thank you. |

Switches A and B can be assigned to do octave up and down. The stock grand pianos already have this assigned. The switch assignments are on a per Program, Combi and Song basis. Look at the Kronos Parameter Guide for switch assignments, starting at page 1121. |

For octave change:
Go to the Common tab, then the Controllers tab. Use the dropdown boxes to set each SW to Octave Up/Down.
The manual should be something you use often. For now, here's the bird's eye view to change the most common parameters.
For an EXi Program:
1) Press the EXIT button until you're on the Main page with the graphics of the different sections: OSC, filter, step sequencer, etc. Each little graphic can be touched to jump you to that section.
2) Touch the Pitch section (tiny graphic between OSC and Filter on the AL-1 synth).
3) You're now on the Pitch EG/Mod page. Press the tab at the bottom to go to the Pitch Common page.
4) Here you see that LFO1 is already assigned. Its Intensity is 0.00, but let's leave it that way. You want to use After Touch to bring in the vibrato.
5) After Touch is already selected, but its Intensity is 0.00. Change that to 2 and you're done. Cheers! |

From looking at the manuals, it would appear that the Triton Studio does not have dedicated octave up and down buttons. Octave up and down was done the same way as on the Kronos i.e. buttons A and B can be programmed to do this.
