Hi all,

I’d like to change or edit an existing chord recognition of an existing style but couldn’t figure out how to do it. Please help if you know a way to do it.

Example:
A basic 3 notes A, C and E will trigger chord Am.
I want to change the 3 notes to A, E and A (one octave higher) to trigger chord Am.

Thanks

Chord recognition is determined by the fingering mode you choose (e.g. "fingered 1"..etc in GLOBAL mode).

In order for the PA4X to play Am it will need the minor-3rd (C) somewhere in that triad. Chord recognition is not configurable.

Cheers

Can I turn off BASS INVERT when chords are detected?
chord C (G C E) and bass plays G that is wrong and does not sound good.
How to turn it off?
when both C chords and C bass (G C E or E G C)
When C is detected, BASS plays C.

well thank you

Bass Inversion can be turned off. There is a front panel button for this. When off, all notes of the chord are analyzed but the lowest note does not automatically become the root of the chord.

See pages 203, 345 and others regarding chord recognition, bass inversion and locks. E17 Manual.

I know it. it's in STYLE PLAY. it is OK. this is not a problem. I'm asking when chords are detected from midi file. There is a bad detection chord recognition. How to turn it off? to distinguish by speed does not work correctly. this is also in the guideline. chord detect from midi works only bass inversion. I ask you to disable it? FUNCTION Chord recognition from the Midi file.

Sorry, but I don't understand your question. How are you using the midi file?

Anytime the chord detection is active, regardless of mode, all parameters are in use -- chord recognition mode, bass inversion, split, scanning, etc.

Maybe have a look at the recent thread "importing a CS from BIAB" Some info there on how the 4x stores notes in a chord sequence after chord detection.
