get a midi solutions quad thru. that will give you a bit of room for expansion later. you can never have too many thrus ! the mk2 is slightly improved, in that it passes some midi line power in some situations (won't go into it here, but it means you can use the retrokits cable for instance for the FM).
but the regular quadthru is excellent too. you find those 2nd hand sometimes. worth thinking of a quadmerge as well, if you see one, as that's a useful midi thing to have. beauty of these is that they don't need a power supply or batteries.
so now you could have your controller keyboard, going into your computer and DAW, or hardware sequencer, out to the Thru box, and onto both volcas, or other devices. you change channels either on the midi keyboard, or via your DAW, selecting tracks/channels. |
