I've used my Krome keyboard as a secondary sound source in my rig (sometimes play it directly, but most often use it to bring in strings, horns, etc. during songs. It konked out and I replaced it with an EX. The EX is receiving patch change signals, but it is not responding to note information.
How do I get it to play the note signals being sent to it? _________________ Krome 61, M50-61, TR-61, EXB-SMPL w/64MG, Motif Rack-ES, Juno-G, Yamaha S03, Bose L1 Model II; M1, SQ1+ |

If patch change messages are being received then the MIDI connection is working OK.
Check that the Krome's Program or Combi MIDI channel corresponds to the channel that the MIDI source is sending its note output messages. By default, Programs respond to note information transmitted on the general MIDI channel (01), and usually at least one timbre in a Combi will be set to respond to note messages on MIDI channel 01. |
