Problem with the OS3 update pa4x musikant

I did everything like download, unzipped the zip, put everything on a usb, delete the samples (all) press intro 1, callibrate the touch, select the upb

After pressing the select button this message is on the screen:
„Selected package is not valid“

I tried it 2 hours with new download and every step which is written
In the manual.
Not possible to update the system

I hope soemone can help me.

Hi Detlef

I got this message 3 times and in the end all I did was make sure the actual file was in the top directory on the USB.

(...and assume you are already at 2.0.0 or later)

thx for you response.
Yes I have the newest Version 2 installed because its a new PA4X

So what do you mean exactly? I have copied the folder to the usb.
So its not on the top directory.

I have a folder Pa4X Operating System v.3.0.0
Inside this folder is the Pa4X_Operating_System_v300.upd.

When selecting this file the error massage appears

I ended up copying the "UPD" (in my case PKG) to the top level directory and it worked fine.

Copy only the update file to your USB drive, not the entire directory.

You have this:
USB:\Pa4X Operating Sytem v3.0.0\Pa4x_Operating_System_v300.upd

You want this:
USB:\Pa4x_Operating_System_v300.upd

Exactly as I said...
It doesn't matter if there is anything else in the top directory as long as the UPD/PKG file is there.
