Hi all!
I have Kronos 2 88key. I don't know any in-depth of this keyboard. I had this for about a year and I am experiencing a sudden volume increase while playing, almost twice the output. I have tried few piano sections (all factory default), it does same thing. It does it intermittently, so I don't know what to look for. It's connected with 8ch mixer and PA speakers, simple setup.
When this issue occurs, I just change to other patch and comeback to same one and it works normally for awhile and reoccures sometimes...
Anyone has this issue? Thanks. |

Lets assume you have totally ruled out your mixer/PA.
Try to isolate the volume increase. Are other mid devices and/or PC's connected ? Check your pedals and controllers
It also sounds like the vector stick. This has no resistance and its easier to bump it. _________________ Kronos 88. MODX8

Three is of course the regular volume control on the upper left but also, on the lower left side of th display there is a slider that acts like a volume in certain modes. It’s possible that slider is inadvertently changing the volume. A test would be to set it low. Then, if the volume inadvertently goes low, it’s the slider.

I'm also having this problem. It just started about 2 months ago & I've had my K73 for 7 years. It's not the vector stick or the volume fader. It happens very intermittently, and it happens with whatever program I'm playing. If I'm playing a combi, it happens there, too. I cannot make it happen; it happens randomly.
Sometimes it doesn't occur for awhile, & I think it's gone... Then... |

Update: I realize it's the lowest Db on my K73. Every once in a while it makes a louder-than-normal kinda twangy sound. |

my question will seem to you ridiculous but : Is your Kronos connected to an external soundcard with your PC ? And if yes : has you ruled in it any kinfd of compressor ? _________________ trees are going fast.

Thanks all for your replies. It's not connected to any external sound card or PC, just my mixer and PA speakers. I also have another digital piano connected to this mixer and use same PA speakers and I have no issue there, so I think I can rule out my mixer and PA speakers.
Anyone recommend a factory reset process when hard to figure out what is the root cause? Thanks!
I don't have anything to backup anyways, it's all factory default settings. |
