I've been using Quick Record to record some styles. Once they are recorded I save them in the songbook and then during playback I play my guitar along with the recordings. I've notice that I cannot use the on board harmonizer during play back. I can't find in the manual how to remedy this. Does any one know how?

Hi Chuck

Firstly, can I confirm you meant "Quick Record to record some SONGS" (assuming MIDI)?

When you play back a SONG (MIDI) the harmoniser will not automatically work like when playing a style.

Now, I am NOT experienced with this BUT I believe you can get it to work but the harmoniser needs to know where to find the "chords" in order to work - i.e. which track to look at.

I think this has been discussed before a while ago - try a search.

ALSO, I have wanted the harmoniser to follow Chord Sequences but it doesn't - there is a way around it (topic from a while back) but it's a pain!!!

Sorry - I've been close to useless but just wanted to get some response to you.

Cheers

Pete Very Happy

Thanks Pete. Actually we are using Quick Record to record songs using the styles we have selected. Once the style (Song) is recorded then we play back and play the guitar along with it. That way the guitar player does not have to touch the keyboard and can use both hands to play accompaniment and lead riffs with the style/song. But for whatever reason we cannot record the on board harmonizer. We have pretty much given up using the on board harmonizer and instead use a stand alone digitech vocal harmonizer that follows the guitar.
FYI. My friend is the same person who bought my 900 a few years back. He is also a very good guitar player and wanted something that would provide background music so he could play his guitar which is his preferred instrument.
Us old guys are always screwing around with something. Thanks again Pete!

Hi,

just to confirm, you are talking about MIDI records ?

Because the PA4X-VH does NOT work with mp3-files ( the PA3X does ! )
