Just wondering if anyone can give me some advice,
I have two old 30GB SSDs (in my Kronos original) should I swap them out and put in a modern SSD ?
the SSDs dont generate heat do they? _________________ Korg Kronos 61, M3-73, Karma (all-time classic), X5, Wavestate, Roland Juno Gi, JV, D110, Arturia Microfreak, Modal Skulpt, IK Uno. Nanopad2, M-Audio Venom, Deepmind 12D, Crave, TB3, Maschine Mk3, Moog Werkstat and a few other bits |

The simple/inexpensive approach would be to keep your factory SSD as is.
Replace your 2nd SSD with larger/better. Even 120 GB is going to cover most needs.
I have never worried about internal heat in normal conditions. Thats why Kronos has an internal fan.
Of course , if you gig in 100 degree heat with direct sun light, that's another concern. Periodically check chassis heat over the PSU/cord placing hand on the chassis.
Looks like you have the original 2011 K- which is a plus for swapping SSD's- there is more internal room to operate. _________________ Kronos 88. MODX8
