|
|
Hi all, I am just about finished making a combi for Rio and need a little help. I just need to add the clap that is continually going throughout the song. I already have the short release random arpeggiator string part going so that is following the tempo clock. Should I choose a drum program and add it to the combi and somehow simplify it to just have the claps going or should I to use the step sequencer on a program and add it? I am not familiar with adding drums to combis because I am always playing with a band. Any suggestions? I have all the other synth parts covered. _________________ Current gear: Kurzweil Forte 7, Kurzweil PC361, Mojo 61, Korg Kronos X 61, Roland RD-88, Korg Nautilus 73 |

I assume the claps on the song are on beat
You have a drummer ? This sounds like extra steps- he will need to hear your click track _________________ Kronos 88. MODX8

Yes, we have a drummer but he will be playing 16th notes on the hi hat most of the time. Listening to the isolated keyboard track of Nick Rhodes on YouTube, he has the keyboard playing this part. Yes, it’s on the beat. Quarter notes, while the karma (on module A) random arpeggiator is playing 16th notes. _________________ Current gear: Kurzweil Forte 7, Kurzweil PC361, Mojo 61, Korg Kronos X 61, Roland RD-88, Korg Nautilus 73 |

Actually, I think if I get the quarter note claps going it will be easier for the drummer to follow the same beat than listening to the random arpeggiator _________________ Current gear: Kurzweil Forte 7, Kurzweil PC361, Mojo 61, Korg Kronos X 61, Roland RD-88, Korg Nautilus 73 |
