It is my understanding that the Pa900 can load sampled sound sets created on the Pa3x provided the samples are individually uncompressed in Sound Mode.
If this is true then it should be possible to load the new 39.8 mb compressed Yamaha C5 Piano sound set that I have just released. Once uncompressed it should be 79.6 mb.

If someone has the time to uncompress the samples they are welcome to post the new set for all to use.
Just follow the link at the bottom of this post to download the compressed smaller set.

I'm hoping this will be successful and open up some nice pianos to use.

You can uncompress them on the keyboard (pa900) itself!
Load the piano, it will not make sound.
Go to SOUND->RECORD->MENU ->MULTISAMPLES ->Select the piano multisample that doesn't produce sound (because it is compressed) and export it!
It will export the decompressed multisample!
Then delete the multisample which is compressed with its samples and import the exported uncompressed multisample!Yes it is a long procedure but it works!!

In case anyone is interested here are the uncompressed samples in PCM (Korg ready) format.
You would need 232mb free Ram to build the full Yamaha C5 6 layer piano but if you want a smaller piano (79.6mb) you can just use layers 2 and 4 for a decent sounding piano.
Download PCM here:
