Hello.
I have 2 pcs. Pa4x.
Pa4x61 and Pa4x76.
Will the components from Pa4x61 match Pax76 and vice versa?
I'm thinking about the main module.
My English is not good.
I use an online translator. |

As long as they are both running the same OS level, they should be completely compatible.
Cheers

Pax76 operates on PKG, Pax61 on UPD.
Which parts do I need to replace so that one and the other work? |

Hello!
Everything is compatible except from maybe the pcb (circuit board) that is mounted on the keybed which may have physically different connectors due to the different size of keybed..!
It doesn't matter which os or anything.
The os that will run will be the one that is on the CPU board (the one with the battery and sd card slot) that you put inside. _________________ ~~~The best keyboard for any player is the one that fits his/her needs!~~~

I understand that if I replace the CPU board (the one with the battery and SD card slot), the Pa4x76 will have Os. UPD, Pa4x 61 Os.PKG?
Will everything work well after such a change? |

If your pa4x 61 is UPD now and your pa4x 76 is PKG , when you replace the cpu boards of these two (put the cpu of 61 to 76 and 76 to 61) , then the 61 will be PKG and the 76 UPD.
The same will happen if your PKG cpu board fails and you buy a new one.
It will 99% be UPD as the only change between PKG and UPD is the Firmware update protection against hacks/mods (PA4x PKG can be repacked and so get modified while UPD can't) _________________ ~~~The best keyboard for any player is the one that fits his/her needs!~~~

Does UPD work better than PKG?
Is it just a matter of better protection against hacking? |

As far as i know this is the only difference.
Have even tried installing the upd in a pkg model (with modification of course) and nothing changed in performance and/or internal files so i am 99.9% sure nothing else changes.
Obviously only korg can tell 100% so i'm leaving this 0.1% open in case i have missed something. _________________ ~~~The best keyboard for any player is the one that fits his/her needs!~~~
