Hello! What is the speed from microSD card to Korg PA4x? Is it worth using a high speed card? Does Kitt hdik-3 replace something else, because the price seems too high?

No, but it is worth getting a high quality one as it is a "virtual permanent fixture" - what I mean is that it is NOT like a USB you can plug-and-play.
You have to have the PA4X powered Off at the main supply before inserting/removing it.

So my personal view is get a really high quality one of the capacity you want, install it and leave it.

The "Kit hdik-3" is the installation kit required if you want to install a hard drive in the 61-key model.
So, in total, you can have the SSD (1GB) already installed, 2x USB drives inserted (front and back) and an HDD installed if you have the 61 model (this is already in the 76 model)

Hope this helps

Cheers

Pete Very Happy

i work 5 days/week with pa4x,with the same set,nothing changed so far,but today i had a new experience :

after5 or 6 songs,i changed from a style to an mp3 as usualvia songbook entries and setlist, and there was a restart.

Ok, it maybe never happened again on stage before, only at home, but what was different was this :

When keyboard restarted and fully opened, there was a question mark next to my HD LETTER. That practical means no DIRECT SET or Direct songbook including entries , styles,mp3/midies etc.

So, i just restated it once again and it worked.

I am seriously gonna remove the factory 500Gb HD and install an ssd, and just carry everything on a usb or SD card....Thanx Korg once again, you know how to make my day

Hi,

when I got my PA4X-Musikant I opened the package, opened the HD-tray, took the HD and replaced it by a SSD. I closed the tray and then I started the PA4X for the first time.

That was 3years ago, still works well ( hopefully that continues Very Happy )

Its worthwhile have exactly the same data/files on both an inserted Micro SD card and a USB memory stick.

Just in case.

I just replaced factory toshiba 500gb HD with a sumsung evo 250gb ssd and it's way faster now with no problems so far.

Just for once i thought of installing an SD card, but i've seen many cases of not working after moving the instrument a lot,for example after airoplane flights etc ,or even losing them inside the keyboard,so i prefer the ssd solution for me.

I will try again v3.01 this week and let you know...
