How sad I just learned he passed about 15 minutes ago from the video below and started doing searches to make sure it was not some video that was not true, but Kurt Ader on facebook on 22nd July has a note too that he passed Sad ( https://www.facebook.com/kurt.ader ).

I was just doing my regular weekly Kronos searches on Youtube and this video came up, didn't really realise what it was about at first but was excited to see Sevan Gökoğlu come up in the search as I love his videos on the Korg Kronos and Sevan Gökoğlu and Luke Edwards are the two big reasons I went for the Kronos in the end with their great videos

The German message under the video on youtube reads this in English (when I translated it on google I realised Sad ):-

An exceptional musician has sadly and unexpectedly left the stage forever .. Sevan Gökoğlu ..

On Friday evening Sevan Gökoğlu had played together with Stefanie Heinzmann and his fellow musicians in Locarno at the Moon & Stars Festival on the Piazza Grande an inspiring concert. Then the news spread that Sevan Gökoğlu died suddenly and too early at home on the night of Sunday, July 21, 2019. The exact circumstances are not known yet.

Sevan Gökoğlu was a wonderful person with a big heart and an exceptional musician with a keen sense for the right notes at the right moment.

His role models include Stevie Wonder, Herbie Hancock, Keith Jarrett, Chick Corea and bands like Earth Wind & Fire, Tower Of Power or Jamiroquai, as well as the also deceased Prince, Michael Jackson, Ray Charles, George Duke and Jimmy Smith with whom he can certainly celebrate a big session now in the musician's heaven.

His passion, his musicality, his creativity and his humor will not only be missing his wife, but also on many stages. He is already missing us all ..

R.I.P. SEVAN

I'm sure you have seen his videos on youtube of the Kronos, if not here are some of my favorites with him and the Kronos :-

Videos below are in German but watch him demo the Kronos and what he does Smile.

R.I.P Sevan and my condolences to his Family and friends. Really an amazing talent that has gone too soon and Korg was very lucky to have him as one of the faces of Korg products as he did many different Korg products if you search Youtube.

Sad news. I've also seen Sevan Gökoğlu's videos on YouTube, and his demonstrations were of very good quality. Now he is an angel who plays in the great heavenly orchestra

I only recognize him from that KAPRO Symphonic Dreams video, but it still remains an outstanding showcase of his talent.

Too young and gifted to go so quickly. Condolences to his family and friends, and thanks from the community for what he gave us.
