I was working on a MIDI file last evening that has a time signature of 3/2. It was something that I downloaded from the web and it played fine when I loaded it.
I changed all of the sounds and such to Factory/Legacy/User sounds instead of the GM sounds and got all of the EFX configured and such and it sounds pretty good.
I decided that I wanted to add more measures in the beginning of the song and I did not have the option to add these new measures using the same time signature that the rest of the song is in. The 3/2 was not available to select. The closest thing that I could find was 6/4 (which is basically the same but faster).
Did I miss something when I was adding the measures? I tried every combination when selecting the time signature (there is an option where you select the number of measures you want to add and the time signature).
I even went into the Master Track (after track 16), but the ability to change the new time signature was greyed out (i.e. - I could not select it and change it from the 6/4 (for the measures I added) to the 3/2 (which is what the rest of the song was).
The rest of the MIDI file was editable, so I know that I had full access to that file...
Any comments of suggestions?
Grace,
