I cannot find any information on the maximum MicroSD card capacity I can put into the Pa4x. Does anyone know?
If I go & buy the largest & fastest MicroSD card I can find, will the Pa4x format and use all of it? What is this memory used for?
What memory cards does everyone use?

Also, now talking about the Hard Drive: If I buy a 61-key version, how large of an SSD drive can I install? Is there a G-Byte limit?

Yes, the PA4X will use all of it and it is simply alternative storage space for saving SETs, MP3s etc or whatever you want.
(fastest or slowest won't make much difference.)

I am not sure if there is a limit but can't imagine needing more than 1TB max - in fact 512GB is huge when you consider the sizes of SETs MP3s and samples.
(Also note that an SSD will not seem much different to HDD)

If I owned a 61, I personally would not bother with an internal HDD/SSD - external short-form USB flash drives would be the way I would go - they are easy to manage, hot-swappable and cheap - emergency backup SET can always be stored on the PA4X's built-in internal 1GB SSD drive

Cheers

I use a 64Gb micro SD.

Format it in the PA, there is a utility to do this in the menu system.

I only use the microSD as a backup location.

I use the USB memory as the everyday storagea, once formatted in the PA I created a folder on mine and named it Direct, then I set this as the direct folder so that when I save a Style as a Song I choose to save it to the Direct foldet.

I also have MIDIs, MP3’s etc stored on the USB drive along with the Backup and SaveAll files.

All the files and folder systems on the USB are replicated on to the microSD.
