Hello,
In the Karma Lab Website it is said that it's possible to get the 4 Karma Kronos Modules, plus 6 soft modules, and so getting up to 10 modules at the same time.
Do you know how it works ? |

The KARMA Software is the entire KARMA engine in software form, with 6 modules, not the 4 in the Kronos. It's not just a sysex editor for the KARMA in the Kronos. Basically, when you are using the software, it disconnects the 4 modules in the Kronos from operation and instead you are using the modules in the software. Whatever changes you make in the 4 modules of a Kronos Combi in the software is then transferable back to the Kronos, and when you place the software in Bypass mode, it goes back to running the 4 modules inside the Kronos.
With proper configuration, you can enable the 4 modules in the Kronos to work at the same time as the 6 modules in the KARMA software, for a total of 10 modules running at once. Not for the faint of heart! _________________ Stephen Kay - KARMA Developer • Karma-Lab - karma-lab.com

Talking about the Karma Software. In the flyer that you get with your Kronos, it states that with the Karma software you can edit a ton of functions that is normally hidden in the Kronos.
Does this mean you can get access to some usefull extra settings via the software, edit it and sent it back to the Kronos ? or are these extra features only available when using the software as the controller ? _________________ Korg Kronos 2-73, Crumar Mojo 61, Roland A90ex, Yamaha P9000Pro, Korg T3, Roland PK5, Roland R-8m, Roland SC-88, Digitech Vocalist-II, Presonus AudioBox 22vsl+Studio one 2 Artist |

You get access to a ton of parameters that are not available in the Kronos itself, and can edit and create custom GEs, and send all of those edits back to the Kronos for use without the software. _________________ Stephen Kay - KARMA Developer • Karma-Lab - karma-lab.com

StephenKay,
You’ve already mentioned that KARMA Software for Mac will not be ported to 64-bit. You might heard that next Windows Core OS (WCOS) will stop 32-bit support sooner or later.
Because as you said “KARMA Software is the entire KARMA engine in software form”, you might just kill the KARMA for good.
Perhaps there are still chances that you reconsider your decision, and port both OS editions to 64bit. I only say that because I read in SOS article that KARMA took 7 yrs to develop, that’s a lot of hard work, and it’s “fruits” does not deserve to be abandoned. |
