All of my material is based upon Factory Styles. I save my changes to a USB Flash drive (F) (Thanks to Pete's support (Oct7th/2018) for the guidance). To date I have yet to Load any of my saved Data back into the K/B. With 3 years work, I'm apprehensive about doing this with concerns about losing all my work.(my skills in this area are not the best) The question is it possible to confirm that the USB data is good, and If I have to use it that it will not damage the internal Disk Drive. On the pc the information from the USB FD is as follows:
9 Folders/overall data 57.6MB with the PCM Data as 51.1MB. Does the internal Disk Drive not store any of my data?
Additionally, how can I ascertain the level of data on the Internal Disk Drive?
I'm currently using OS 1.2.4
Thanks and a Good New Year to all!

Pete, Have replied to your e-mail. Hope you have received it. In any case It is a 61 key PA4X.
Many thanks for all your support.

Three actions.
1 - Create a Backup file.
2 - Create a Save All file
3 - Remove your USB drive with the Pa powered off and copy all the contents to a folder called say Korg_USB_1 to give you a backup of your USB memory stick.
Repeat actions 1 to 3 after you have created new data on your Pa.
You will then be safe having backups of all that matters.
EG
If you update the Op System after following actions 1 to 3 you then load the Save All file and your keyboard will then be returned to have all the onboard user data available again, you may also have to load the dot set file on your USB stick to get the data there readable again. _________________ Biggles

Many thanks Biggles.
I currently select a Save All File. As per your Point 1, where do I access a Back Up File?
Regards,
Jim |

Create the Backup file via Media > Utility.
I then give the file a name and have it saved to my USB memory stick _________________ Biggles

If you have customized FACTORY STYLE so I recommend unlocking FACTORY protection.
(GLOBAL - MODE PREFERENCES - bookmark MEDIA - protect FACTORY mark remove)
This will make it possible for ALL to advance. both USER data and FACTORY data.
Then make a backup of SAVE ALL.
Good luck |
