|
|
Right, I got a MicroKORG last year, but I haven't used it that much. It's my first synth ever, but most of the patches on it aren't for the type of music that I want to make. I don't understand a lot of the terminology yet but I figure after reading the manual and experimenting a bit, I will pick it up.
But, I would like a blank slate. Something where everything is set to it's neutral setting so that it's just a pure signal and I can change it as I please to understand what everything does.
Is this possible? _________________ won't be on unless i have questions |

Hi there,
Yes there exists something like that.
Select a program that you don't like (anymore). Push then Shift + 3-key. Push once more on the 3-key.
Now you have a basic program (neutral according to the Korg designers). It is a plain sawtooth wave.
Notes:
* you can not use this method to set all programs to neutral at once. For that you may need to use the PC editor.
* don't forget to save the program. It initializes the current program but does not overwrite it. It's like tweaking all parameters of the current program to a neutral one. So if you switch afterwards to another program and dit not save it, the neutral program is lost and the orignal one will apply again when coming back.
Enjoy. _________________ microKORGXL, Kaossilator Pro, monotribe, SQ-1, volca fm, Kross 88 BK
