Korg Capacitor 47UF10VLESR - alternatives?

Post by slain_by_silence »

Hi folks,

I recently bought a used M50-61 that has the freezing problem.
Now I'm looking for this capacitor part, hoping to fix the issue:

I could order in US, but it takes a very long time and it's not trackable, customs involved. I mailed Korg Support Germany but they don't reply.

Could someone savvy enough please help me. Can I order these alternative parts? Which one would work best - if at all (Tolerance?):

https://www.conrad.com/p/kemet-t491b476 ... cut-458307
Tolerance 10%

https://www.reichelt.de/smd-tantalum-ca ... _tabholder
Tolerance 20%

Thank you in advance!

Issue resolved - german music store Thomann was kind enough to help me order the parts through Korg. Hope the M50 can be fixed with this.
Best to use the original parts I guess. I think it's tantalum capacitor ELNA SYL1A476M-RB.

There don't seem to be much in the way of alternatives that have the same spec in the given part size.

There's a 6.3V Niobium Oxide part which would fit and do the job: NOSB476M004#0500

Alternatively, a wire-ended tantalum part could be used.

Thanks @voip. Already got the capacitors. m50 is running again. 9 hours without an issue, hope it stays like that. Got that m50 on ebay for 120 EUR, was listed as defect unit.

Good to hear. The M50 is a great keyboard to have.
