|

I got a track recorded. I saved it to usb as a midi file. Now when I decoded it and played it, it sounded very rough with missing parts and random sounds. How can I get the original sound that I can hear in the song on the ek-50
Thanks for any help. _________________ calen |

Can't speak specifically for the EK50, but standard MIDI files are just MIDI channel and note data. They don't specify that MIDI channel 1 is the EK50 Grand Piano, so the EK50 will likely default to either General MIDI instruments, or the EK50 will play whatever is currently selected for the various MIDI channels. It would be better to save the song in whatever format the EK50 saves songs, in which case the saved file will specify the timbres to use for each MIDI channel. This is not a definitive answer, but at least something to consider.
