Thanks for reply. But I have Mixcraft 9 so I don't need any audio in this midi editor / sequencer.
I am looking for a siquenser that can perform this job on an as simple as possible.
Not necessary and pay as much extra money to perform the same as you can see in the two films I posted.
I am looking for a siquenser that can work close to pa300 via usb.
I know that there are both sharware and freeware out there that might do this job for me. Does anyone have any tips or experience here? |

Lock att MidiYodi https://www.canato.se/midiyodi/
I bought this program to edit midi files fairly quickly. This worked fine. Very simple interface, but obviously also has other sequencing capabilities, which seem to work when creating styles from midi files. Must be tested. For midi files I can highly recomment, it was brilliant. It's also cheap, Only $ 14.95 (+ VAT) Download a demo and try it out for yourself. May you be as pleasantly surprised as me! so positive that I bought the program.
Today I'm going to test MidiYodi together those videos on how to make korg pa300 styles from midi files. I will provide feedback on how this went. |

The first link you posted goes to a page that is no longer updated. Most links where acting siquenser is too old and taken away.
As for the second link to the NCH suite, I've tested. Very unnecessarily difficult, never found what I needed in order to once again begin work on putting together a syle! Gave up.
But thanks for the tips
Now am install Linux Ubuntu Studio and se that i get.

Sorry that didn't suit you - I had not tried any links on those pages but was mostly suggesting a good Google search.
LINUX is great and always has been better than WINDOWs (like any UNIX-based OS) - I hope all your required drivers work OK.
I use Mac as I find that safer and also better as it is a UNIX-based OS but my sequencing requirements are more detailed hence my use of Logic Pro X.
Good luck - let us know how you go

No problem. There are many old links out there that should have been removed.
When it comes to a daw, I bought Mixcraft last year. It works very well on audio but at midi it is somewhat limited. You cannot export midi file in format-0. And when I saved a file where I had made marks, they were gone with the save of the file! Because when I was loading it into the mixcraft again, the marks were gone! Some mid lacks that make me a little unsafe with mixcraft in this area. Mixcraft works brilliantly with audio files, but for midi I probably want something different.
MidiYodi that I bought works really well with midi files, small and simple, but to create styles maybe a little too simple!
I downloaded the FL studio trail and enjoyed it pretty well at the first moment. FL Studio Fruity Edition for 89 EUR, has what I need within midi, because I don't need audio as I have mixcraft for this.
But Avid / pro tools sent me this message yesterday:
"here is a free version of Pro Tools, which is Pro Tools First. MIDI can be edited on this free version"
Well, maybe every single attempt! I also test this solution of course. Time I have some of my age. |

I bought the Reaper midi editor last night. https://www.reaper.fm/index.php
How to get a midifile in Reaper to play the sound from the Korg pa300, instead of the computer speakers. Something that is important if you have to edit / work with midi.
I have started to set up the Korg pa300 against Reaper midi studio. I had some run-in problems, did not get the sound to play in Korg pa300! But after a few hours of googling, I found the solution.
Here is the solution to this problem;
https://www.reddit.com/r/Reaper/comments/55vqvp/how_to_control_hardware_synth_via_midi/
And you have to do this on every channel / track. https://imgur.com/a/UpUMP
In my condition; I set midi hardware to "PA300 1sound" and the midi channel to 10 Be becouse this track is for the drums. But you have to do the same procedure on all channels / track.
In my condition i use my own special midi setting for Korg pa 300, which I have made / configured in the midi set in the Korg named "Accordion2. Therefore, in my example, the midi channel will be different on the different track / tracks, like for ex; ch.9 for bass, ch.10 for drums, ch.12 for acc1, ch.13 for acc2, ch.14 for acc3, ch.15 for acc4 and ch.16 for acc5.
Now I can start learning how to create Korg pa300 Styles from midi files, after a longer break.
Never giv upp, take a step bye step. |
