Hi, how to assign IFX to EXT instruments please? Is it possible? I Would like to assign effects of an iOS app I am controlling with Kronos in MIDI Channel 2

I presume you mean controlling the effects on the app from the Kronos - (obviously, you can't use the Kronos' IFX on an external instrument unless you feed the outputs of that instruments through the audio inputs of the Kronos).
It may be possible to do it, by looking at the app's MIDI CCs and finding out which CCs control the app's effects. You should then be able to send CC messages from the Kronos, perhaps by assigning one of the knobs.
It's difficult to give an exact answer without knowing the capabilities of whatever app you are using.

I think you have to clarify what mode you want to work in.

Like Pete said, 1st step, you have to route your iPad audio into your Kronos

There are likely a few dozen post topics on ' how' on this forum if you google it.
Maybe there is a YouTube.

From there, what mode ?

for Combi mide, see your Timbre Paramater tab. EXT is a choice , for each midi channel. See the drop down menu.

For SEQ mode, its the Track Paramter tab. EXT, etc.

You will need to save your "custom Combi'. or you're SEq Song. In order to retrieve the setting. You should be familiar with DISK mode and how to save/ load files.

My advice, is to get familiar with these functions so you can exploit the power/versatility of your Kronos
