Why can't I get my Volca Bass MIDI In to work using LMMS. LMMS will connect to the Volca Sample and the Monologue but not the Bass. Any ideas anyone?

First step would be to make sure that the Bass and LMMS are set to the same MIDI channel.

LMMS isn't clear what channel it uses - but no matter I've changed channel on the volca from 1 to 16 and none work.

Make sure Global parameter #7 (MIDI RX ShortMessage) is set to On (St.on).
