|
|
Hi Guys,
I am having an issue with some styles on a set that I use.
While I turn on the mic to sing the styles make a fuzzy noise , but when the Mic mute button is enabled the styles sound ok.
It happens with some certain styles not all of them.
Any idea what could cause this to happen ?
Thanks ! _________________ Moebrand

Weird I had a similar problem last week. Some of the styles sounded fuzzy. I reloaded the operating System update v1.5 again. It then went away?
Have you been loading any third party styles or sounds? |

Hi Keymn ,
I made a a mixed set with Pa manager and this issue started.
Even I tried resetting the global to factory resources and the problem did not go away .
I will try loading the OS again without losing my user data and see if that solves the issue .

A Corrupt style might be a problem. After you created a set on PaManager did you get any errors loading to Korg? Like “out of memory”...or? Just some thoughts? |

The set loaded normally with no error message .
I believe some samples may cause this fuzzy sound while Mic is enabled. _________________ Moebrand

Normally anything in the style shouldn't have that effect.
Maybe it is some mic effect that has nothing to do with style.
Can you upload an example so we can understand what the actual problem is? _________________ ~~~The best keyboard for any player is the one that fits his/her needs!~~~

Hi Everyone again.
I should have posted a demo of the styles making the fuzzy sounds in my first post, however I am doing it now.
The problem starts at 12 second of the demo as I enabled the mic and it disappears after the mic is muted.
It happens only with some styles and I have tried several mics and cables.
Here is the link for the demo showing the issue.

ohhh!!Very very strange!
It is not a constant noise,it is like peak distortion.
Sounds like a bug in the OS.
Can you tell us which voice/mic effects are selected in that style?
Also can you try disabling all the voice/mic effects to see if the problem will go away?
I suggest to disable one by one while the style is running with the mic ON to see which (if any) fixes the problem. _________________ ~~~The best keyboard for any player is the one that fits his/her needs!~~~

@moebrand,
In the past I had almost similar noise problem with some custom styles in Pa700 but without using any microphone, only customized styles.
In my case the problem was a compressed set that caused this issue.
I decompressed the set and the problem was gone.
Just to continue your troubleshooting and isolate the problem I suggest to try the same setup but with different Factory styles and see if you reproduce the problem. |

I don't get the problem with all the styles in the set, only a few of them and the factory styles sound ok as well.
I tried lowering the volume of drum and percussion tracks and that seemed to reduce the problem. I think I found the solution for it now unless there is a better way to solve it.
As a matter of the fact the styles have more than 2 drum and percussion tracks and That is why they cause this issue.
