New owner of a PA700
I know that you can create a song, and then record guitar over it using MP3 record.
Is it possible to record a guitar part using the guitar input, and then create a song (using the sequencer) around that?
I haven't so far found a way.
I know it's not a huge deal, but I'm more used to creating songs with the guitar part first.
Thanks.

I am not aware of a way to do that because the PA700 cannot play MP3 files while using the sequencer or a style. It can play MP3 songs and you can create a keyboard set(s) to play along with it. This is called Song Mode.

Depending on the type of guitar you are playing (acoustic or electric) you may be able to create a passable guitar sound and run a sequence using that and then muting that track while you play the actual guitar with the sequence. The Guitar Mode for styles is really good and can create pretty believable guitar strums, picks, mutes, etc...

If there is a way to do what you want to do, I have not found it.

Grace,
Harry

Okay, thanks a lot Harry. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something.
I'm sure I will have many more questions in the next few weeks Smile
