|
|
Hey guys. I've recently opened up my electribe sampler in order to try to fix its faulty power connection (it was very fidgety, one small turn of the cable and the unit would turn off), but in the process I've managed to break it even more.
Not exactly sure what happened, but now the screen isn t working and the unit only powers up if I hold the power button (it turns off as soon as I release it). Also, if I press the play button it shuts down within 2 seconds of playback.
I suspect it may have something to do with the cable linking the screen to the motherboard. The cable seem to be very very slightly torn in the area where it links to the motherboard. Also the clamp there was very loose, also adding to the posibility that i might have accidentaly tugged the cable.
Do you guys have idea on what to do in this case ? Or have you had some similar issue and found the problem to be something else (as said I'm not sure that to problem lies with the cable, which is just very very lightly torn at one end - so much so that it's not even noticeable in the picture i think)
Maybe it's time I hand it over to someone professional, but thank you in advance for any possible suggestion. I love my electribe sampler loads and I deeply regret being the stupid clumsy mess that I am.
