In Telegram app forum of Music Gear (the Lebanese Korg dealer), Music Gear annonced today that, for the local "PA1000 MG" model, the User PCM Sample memory becomes 500 MB compressed (equivalent to 1000 MB linear data). No mention of the Pa700. Is this a third party product or an official Korg OS ?

It does make you wonder how much on board memory there actually is, if they are using a software update to increase the available memory?

I read somewhere online here that's the PA 4 and the PA 1000 and probably 700 and 600 the main motherboard was all the same because it is cheaper to make that way one,, one board for all keyboard.

Now the difference was the connection to the input and output board those were different but the main board was universal.

Think about it who would make four or five different motherboards when one could do.

So the difference was the output board where you plug plug the mic in oh your speakers out you have more or less connections it was cheaper to make a small board than the main board.
.
No the third party harmonizer kord purchased the rights for the whole thing but they stripped out parts other code four different keyboards..

Again think about it when the PA4 came out it only had 300 megabytes of sample and then 600 and then more and then more they just changed the code on it same motherboard

and the rumor has it the PA 5 has the same motherboard just a different input output board we shall find out..
Or possibly one chip difference the PA 5 motherboard same place on the motherboard just a different chip that might be a little faster will be for the rest of the PA series that might come out.

If you look inside PA 4 and PA 5 the motherboards look identical except the output boards are different..

Look at the person that put the PA 4 operating system inside PA 600 most of it all worked except for the harmonizer because the input output board wasn't the correct one it's online on YouTube just look at that PA 600 with a PA4 operating system in it.

The difference is input output board part and the operating system and then if you want the plastic box that they put it in metal or plastic one costs more than the other

I wonder, if a new replacement for PA1000 would be coming next year such as PA1500 or PA3000? I am stuck on a PA900. I had the PA1000 when it was introduced but sold it and was waiting for a new baby 5X!

It is common practice in software applications that standard routines in operating systems are not reinvented within a model series, but rather copied.
It is also not surprising that certain system routines remain the same and also work with an OS of a different model.

However, I think it's relatively pointless to think about it whether and how the OS of a Pa4x can be transferred to the Pa700, because it is hardly possible to use the functionality of the Pa4x with a Pa700 to reach.

Neither the capacity of the sample memory, nor the selection of different outputs of the Pa4x, nor processes that involve different hardware etc.

so it in the software... for the most part . Is the same.. And all the motherboards are just about to same... just the input and output boards are different.
