May be this topic has been discussed before. I have uninstalled some libraries which I am not using anymore. But Still I can see the wave sequences.I want to get rid of everything unwanted and go back to factory state I am hoping to reset the kronos. If I initialize the memory using the CD will it erase everything in the internal memory; My understanding is that everything we write (Programmes and Combi) are written to internal memory and they should get erased by initializing the memory. In otherwords if the system is working fine initializing memory will bring the kronos to its factory state ? and then I can load the Preload.PCG file to get the programmes back? What is the best option for a factory restore without unwanted files in the kronos than a format and install ? |

There’s a PDF on the Korg site outlining the options and processes to reset or restore using the original DVD. According to this guide, the Initialize memory function only erases the data in memory.
Once you’ve performed this operation, you would want to then use the Install Factory Sounds option to restore the default data. |
