|
|
Hello all,
today I tried to go more detailed through keyboard sets.
E.g. keyboard set "158 Dark Side" has an echo effect, but keyboard show that it is "FX1 - Default" (parameter: "39_Effect1 Variation": -1 on JSON SetList).
When I save keyboard set "158 Dark Side" to SetList, the echo effect save on this position.
I compare it with another saved SetList position (JSON files), where the echo effect doesn't play and I don't see a difference or am I blind? _________________ Korg gear: EK-50, Volca FM / Keys

Are you selecting and re-saving the FX-1 again as you save to Set List? |

I select Keyboard Set: 158 - Name: "Dark Side".
(This keyboard set has echo effect, but FX-1/FX-2 is "Default". Echo effect is on FX-1 "Default" with this keyboard set. You can change any Sound for Lower/Upper 1/2/3 and this effect remains.)
Then I touch button BANK/WRITE + NUMBER 1/2/3 or 4 (SET LIST section). Settings are saved to NUMBER (with echo effect and FX-1 is still Default).
Then I go to MEDIA -> SetListBackUp -> this saved SetLists to JSON format files on USB flash. _________________ Korg gear: EK-50, Volca FM / Keys

Answer is here
Every Keyboard Set had custom settings also for effects (FX1 - Default).
It is possible to save SetList (Keyboard Set effect) with my instructions above or edit backup SetLists JSON file on PC.
JSON parameter on SetListData_xy.json file:
"02_KeyboardSet Number": NUMBER,
Replace NUMBER with number of keyboard set which effect you were interested in.
For example echo effect is on 158.
"02_KeyboardSet Number": 158,
xy above is number from 01 to 40 SetList file.
SetListData_01.json is number 1 Bank A, SetListData_02.json is number 2 Bank A, SetListData_05.json is number 1 Bank B etc. _________________ Korg gear: EK-50, Volca FM / Keys

So....am I right in thinking that saving a Set List with the STS Number maintains the STS default FX?
If this is the case does, changing voices, within the Set List/STS keep the default FX?. |

If you save SetList with activated STS or other Keyboard Set number, does it matter what effect you have set on FX1 or FX2, because FX1/FX2 effects will be saved separately to separately parameters.
Many "Keyboard Sets" have customized effect on "FX1 - Default" only, like echo effect above (JSON file: "39_Effect1 Variation": -1, "02_KeyboardSet Number": 158,).
JSON parameters for SetList files:
For info, STS sets "Keyboard Set" to zero.
"02_KeyboardSet Number": 0
FX1 and FX2 have parameters:
"39_Effect1 Variation": -1, (-1 is Default, 0 is None, 1 to 147 other FX)
"40_Effect1 Lower Send": 50, (0 to 127)
"41_Effect1 Upper1 Send": 52, (0 to 127)
"42_Effect1 Upper2 Send": 58, (0 to 127)
"43_Effect1 Upper3 Send": 70, (0 to 127)
"44_Effect2 Variation": -1, (-1 is Default, 0 is None, 1 to 147 other FX)
"45_Effect2 Lower Send": 100, (0 to 127)
"46_Effect2 Upper1 Send": 0, (0 to 127)
"47_Effect2 Upper2 Send": 48, (0 to 127)
"48_Effect2 Upper3 Send": 24, (0 to 127)
...........................
It may be funny for other members, but the logic of Korg keyboards is different from other brands. EK-50 is my first Korg keyboard. _________________ Korg gear: EK-50, Volca FM / Keys

Thanks
One further question:
How have you obtained the SEND values?
"40_Effect1 Lower Send": 50, (0 to 127)
"41_Effect1 Upper1 Send": 52, (0 to 127)
"42_Effect1 Upper2 Send": 58, (0 to 127) |

"41_Effect1 Upper1 Send": 52, (0 to 127)
"42_Effect1 Upper2 Send": 58, (0 to 127) |
These Send numbers are just how much the effect is used.
0 is 0% and 127 is 100%.
Also watch out for Style Number or Part Numbers on JSON file (sounds for Lower/Upper 1/2/3).
For example "04_Upper1 Part Number": 0,
0 is sound number 1., 1 is number 2., 2 is number 3., 457 is number 458. etc.
