| I waited for years to get a good synth and went big on my first with the PA4X. But when I turned it on.....nothing. There is no sound!! Am I not doing something or was this defective? |

Assume you've checked all sliders, master volume etc etc?
At least play the Demo with headphones and see if it works - you should only need master volume for that.
Is this a new PA4X? If not, I recommend installing the latest OS.
What OS level is currently installed?

Hi synthnewbie, and welcome,
The Pa4X does not have speakers - you need an external sound system, or the Korg PaAS, or headphones as Pete suggested .

Glad you realise the problem.
You do have other options than to buy a PAAS system.
I ould suggest a pair of powered Monitor speakers such as PreSonus Eris 5 EX or the next size up will give imo better sound quality.
Meanwhile a pair of heaphones.
