Service centers do have a factory reset update package that solves most of the software issues.
I guess by "did not power up" you mean that it was either in reboot loop or stuck on boot right? _________________ ~~~The best keyboard for any player is the one that fits his/her needs!~~~

Ohh i thought it was a boot loop!
No power is either a bad power cable or a problem in the psu!
The red power led should be working even if the keyboard is faulty..
If it is not it is a psu/cable issue... _________________ ~~~The best keyboard for any player is the one that fits his/her needs!~~~

If you did not get a red light on the front face, then it sounds like you may have a power supply issue.
I believe that the power supply is the same as on the PA700. If so, then this means that you actually have an 'in-line' power supply, much like the 'wall-wart' supplies that most companies use in their gear now. It is possible, if you are not even getting that red light on the front face, that the power supply has gone bad. Replacement is easy, as you can order another power supply unit, open up the PA keyboard, unseat the existing power supply unit, unplug it from the main board, and put in the new one. There is a metal bracket that holds the power supply brick in place and what you see on the outside of the unit, on the back, is the place to install the IEC computer cable.
If you do not want to do it yourself, then the repair center should be able to do this for you very quickly.
This is, again, assuming that:
1. You are not getting any power to the unit and the red light on the front face is not lit up when you hit the power button.
2. The PSU is the same as on the PA700.
There may also be an issue with the power button itself, but I suspect that may not be the case.
Grace,
