I'm confused by the interactions between preset modulations and the physical controls (knobs and buttons) on the Electribe2. I'd appreciate any help.

If we consider the three areas of the equipment:
FILTER
MODULATION
EG/AMP

I can use presets from the MODULATION section to modulate such things as:
a) the FILTER CUTOFF ; or
b) the PITCH of the sound using the Envelope Generator (EG/AMP).

My questions are:

If I modulate the FILTER CUTOFF does it prevent the use of the physical controls as a second instance of a filter?

If I modulate the PITCH of the sound using the Envelope Generator (EG/AMP) does it use the current knob settings, which means I cannot use (different) Attack and Decay settings to shape the the sound _volume_ envelope?
