Hello,
I'm a new user of the Korg Wavestate and i don't know if i've found a BUG or (probably) i do some errors learning the Wavestate functions.

Now i'am trying the MASTER LANE function and it seems that the machine do a strange thing, in the first cycle of the MASTER LANE it seems to play an additional step after restart the cycle, instead following cycles are reset correctly.

In my case I've create an arpeggio using the PITCH LANE with 6 steps, then i've set the MASTER LANE the reset every 4 steps but when i play the note, in the first cycle the machine play 5 step (5th step for an istant).
The following cycles play 4 steps correctly.

Here the istruction to reproduce the case:

- Set Performance "Init Performance"
- CUT STEPS from ALL LANES from A1 Through A1 (do this to have only one step for all lanes)
- Change the sample of the SAMPLE LANE (Step A1) with a simple "Wave: Saw"
- Add 5 steps to PITCH LANE (total 6 step), to do this i use "Add Steps To End"
- Transpose the pitch of every step in PITCH LANE like this (create little arpeggio):
* A1 -> Transpose: 0 semitones
* A2 -> Transpose: +3 semitones
* A3 -> Transpose: +7 semitones
* A4 -> Transpose: +8 semitones
* A5 -> Transpose: +7 semitones
* A6 -> Transpose: +3 semitones

- Set the PITCH LANE loop from A1 to A6
- Enable the MASTER LANE and enable also TEMPO
- Set the MASTER LANE length to Minim (to reset every 4 steps)
- In the TIMING LANE settings set the "XFade" to "Tempo"

If you look the playback step ligths you can see that in the first cycle the Wavestate reproduce also the 5 step, then, in the following cycles, it play only 4 steps.

I hope someone can tell me if i'am doing something wrong or it's a BUG of the firmware.
In the second case, can you tell me how i can report this to Korg?

Thanks in advance to all and sorry for my awful english.

Bye Smile

Not sure if information is missing to reproduce.

If I set Timing Tempo lit up, default in Master is whole note x4 is 4 whole notes.
And default duration in only step in Timing lane is 8th note.

So cycle is reset according to this timing.
How many steps of 8th notes are the in 4 whole notes.

I get pitches A1 to A6 to loop until master resets according to defalt 4 whole notes then.

You say minim set for Master and for me that become 64th note triplet.

But if I set Timing to quarternote, and master to quarternote x 4 it becomes as you said - first round play A5 shortly before reset, and following rounds just A1 to A4.

Crossfade in timing is 16th this is the case.
But setting xfade in Timing to off - it only play A1 to A4 every time.
So something to do with crossfade first round it seems.
I think it is a bug, but might work as workaround to fiddle with xfade a bit.

So think it is a bug.

But all this - Timing 1/4 note, xfade off, and Master playing 1/4 note x 4 - and it works. But deal with envelope setting in amp envelope to brush off no crossfade if set Amp envelope trigger to Step Pulse so every step trigger amp envelope. Might be a workaround until fixed.

Normal envelope trig is by note and not every step.

Thanks a lot Narioso for the test!

If you want, told me what it's wrong with the istructions to reproduce the problem and i'll complete them.

So, i'am happy to see that isn't only my problem!

Can you tell me how i can report this thing to Korg?

I think is a wonderful machine and i want to contribute to improve it.

Meanwhile thanks a lot for the response, and thanks for the workaround suggestion!

Regards! Smile

I probably misread this
"Set the MASTER LANE length to Minim (to reset every 4 steps)"

and thought you meant the next field after whole note was to be "x4".

"minim" is unknown term to me.

Anyway, result is what you described.

Many presets shipped with Wavestate do a lot of modulation altering Loop start and end.

Maybe this is more reliable in what is sounding and the approach to work around this.
