|
|
Hi y'all, I purchased an electribe E2s a few weeks ago from someone on Reverb and have been having so much fun with it. However, when I decided I wanted to load sample and patterns from my computer by formatting a SD Card thru the Korg, I would get an Error message saying "Card Write Protected" even though the sd card is obviously not since I checked on another device, and with several other cards. I bought 3 different kinds of SD Cards and Korg refuses to format them, sometimes even giving me the error message No Card. The sd cards I have rn are Toshiba SD 2Gb, Delkin Devices 32Gb microSDHC with adapter, and a SanDisk UltraPlus 32Gb microSDHC with adapter. I even sent it to an electronics repair to see if it was a damaged SD port, but no luck after that either. Is there any work around for exporting and importing, or could even a factory reset work? |

Start by reformatting your cards on the computer using the FAT32 format of needed and see if they are recognized by your Electribe. The Electribe should still happily use them. Test by trying the read a single sample from a card.
There's the little slider on the side of the SD cards / micro SD card adapters for write protecting. Fully slide them to on and then firmly back off again. Despite being a mechanical thing, they can get a bit finicky in some readers that see them as write protected when they are not.
You might be able to reflash the unit with the latest firmware, but chances are unfortunately, the unit is faulty by your description. |

I formatted the sd cards to FAT32 from my computer but im still getting a Error Card Write protected message when I use them. Is there a go-to card that I can buy, or is every card I have just have broken sliders? |
