|
|
I am trying out the Korg PA700 and surprised that there is no Right Hand Chord Scan in Split mode.
Is this a Korg trait or just limited to PA700?
I currently own Roland BK5 and looking to upgrade.
The Use Case for me is to put a Bass tone in Lower while I keep the Accompaniment going with the pre-arranged Bass muted. I drive the chord changes with Right Hand. This is not possible with PA700 as Manual Bass turns Accomp off and the lack of Right Hand Scan would not work as I just described.
This is disappointing as I was just beginning to like the PA700.
Any chance Korg could change that with an OS upgrade? |

OS upgrades really only are necessary if there is a specific reason to do so.
You can play chords with your left or right hand separately, or with both hands. You can choose the recognition area, depending on the song you are playing and your preferred playing style.
Press Chord Scan and the area where chords are recognized depends on the status of the CHORD SCAN indicators as described in manual. _________________ kind regards

There is a workaround.
With Split off and your chosen Bass in Lower change the Key range for each of the Upper Sounds.
The Bass is the only one sounding to the left of the upper key range and chord recognition functions across the whole keybed
Agree with the others in that a major OS update is long overdue _________________ Biggles
