Hey All,
I plan on using the NTS-1 solely with a midi controller. That said, Does it function normally if you don't attach the ribbon controller, but have a midi keyboard plugged in? My thought is that I can avoid accidental notes on the ribbon while fiddling. |

Hi,
For what it's worth.
The ribbon controlller is in the end a linear potmeter of which the wiper line to the controller remains open if you don't connect it. Chances are that the wiper line then picks up noise resulting in random notes. Terminating the wiper line with a resistor to ground or supply solves this, but you need the schematic of the front panel to be sure on it (which pin, to ground or supply).
I would say that an experienced and electronic enthousiast can help in measuring it out and do the appropriate mod.

Hey, thanks for the reply. I guess I’ll just leave it connected. Sounds a little too complicated for me 😉 |
