I have recently bought a Toneworks ax3000g, so I'm really new to the unit.
I've watched this video and copied the settings exactly ....
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DSylKngTsi8
The problem I have is that my sound is much too bassy and not like Dave Monk's at all.
I've done a factory reset, with no change.
I would be grateful if someone could tell me the answer to this problem.
Cheers.

Hi,
A lot depends on your used guitar, pickup position, amplifier/speakers... They all may color additionally your sound on top of what the Toneworks does.
On the Toneworks, you can try to tweak bass and middle and turn them a bit down.
Have fun. _________________ microKORGXL, Kaossilator Pro, monotribe, SQ-1, volca fm, Kross 88 BK

Hi,
Sorry about the delay in responding - have been away for several days visiting my daughter and her family.
Thanks for your response.
I've done as you suggest, with no luck.
At 1:10 on the video, he has hardly any sound, whereas I have full volume. Something is wrong somewhere????
Could it be the global settings? Not sure how to get into it or what the settings should be.
Would appreciate further advice.

Oh, if at 1:10 you have full volume, that is something else than too bassy. You are maybe overdriving the signal path. Is it not a problem of gain staging?
Try the following separately or in combination.
* Reduce the volume at your guitar itself (The Dimarzzio coils have more gain by themselves)
* Reduce the output level at the back of the ax3000g.
* Reduce the gain at the inputs of audio interface (maybe it has a VU meter? Try to stay in green then)
* Set the ax3000g to another mode (amp/line button) I would think line should be the one to choose
* Listen with a headphone to the output of the ax3000g. That can maybe rule out the location of the problem (guitar+ax300g or audio interface+laptop)
The global settings has a output level setting, but that is only applicable for the S/P DIF output. It is the digital equivalent of the output level pot at the back of the unit for the regular analog outputs. I guess you don't use the S/P DIFF so don't bother about that one.
Good luck _________________ microKORGXL, Kaossilator Pro, monotribe, SQ-1, volca fm, Kross 88 BK
