We are giving it our first try using the sequencer for recording. We want to record our music and use it later for backup to accompany a guitar player The end result will be on a flash drive and the music on it will be used as accompanying support. Here is our problem. We can't record the vocals and the harmonizer at the same time we are recording the styles. Is it possible or no, if so, how? Oh, and we have read the book. _________________ PA4X & PA900

Hey Chuck
Don't know if this helps but:-
(Note: if you are not wanting to use styles, then this does not apply)
You could record a chord sequence for the full song and save a SONGBOOK entry for it
When you play it back you can add your harmonies (mic thru the PA4X) and record it all.
Note that any VAR/BREAK changes will still have to be applied whilst recording because these are not saved in the Chord Sequence.
Note also that the latest OS enables vocal harmony recognition when playing a Chord Sequence so you need to be at the latest level.
Cheers

Use MIDI recorder to record all MIDI aspects of your song (no vocals).
Then play back the MIDI file on player 1
Then add your vocals and set player 2 to record MP3 |

Thanks for the responses. This is for a guitar player friend of mine who also has the PA 900. He wants record music he can use in his one man act. His idea, once the recordings are made is to play them as well as his guitar while he is performing. The vocals/harmonizer seem to be the problem so we'll keep after it. Take care all. _________________ PA4X & PA900
